Skogen Group wins AIGA merit awards with brochure and website
One H.E.A.R.T. Brochure — AIGA 100 Merit Award Winner
Working with nonprofit organizations is a great privilege, but winning an award on the work performed is like icing on the cake. Skogen Group was honored with a merit award for the AIGA Salt Lake Chapter (American Institute of Graphic Arts) Friday night, May 2, 2008. More than 300 hundred entries were entered and top competitors were present. It brings us joy and pleasure to be recognized by the design community and to be distinguished from the best in the region for our work.
The One H.E.A.R.T. project is a beautiful piece that introduces this organization to prospective donors and volunteers. “We wanted to make anyone who browses the pages of this book to feel inclined to be involved, donate and take action.” Says Ricardo Rosas, Creative Director at Skogen Group. Our client has received several compliments from this piece and contributions keep coming. The donations and support help the organization save the mothers in Tibet.
The One H.E.A.R.T. organization provides training, medical assistance and education for mothers-to-be in Tibetan villages. One H.E.A.R.T.’s services pride themselves on being able to educate, while being respectful to their culture and beliefs. Many mothers and babies have died during the birthing process due to the lack knowledge and proper sterile equipment. The donations enable One H.E.A.R.T. to help and educate Tibetan women.
One H.E.A.R.T. is currently working on bringing this education and support to Southern México to the Mayan Indians in the Yucatan Peninsula that desperately need support.

Sorrel River Ranch Resort Website — AIGA 100 Merit Interactive Winner
Skogen Group was honored with a merit award in the interactive category from the AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) Salt Lake Chapter. It was great to see that among the hundreds of entries only 10 websites were selected for this category, making our web design work among the best in the region.
Sorrel River Ranch Resort is located along the Colorado River in Moab Utah. Its location is superb and the amenities are some of the best in the west, easily rivaling any luxury resort in the world. Skogen’s challenge was to convey that luxury and beauty in an online format. The website is greatly enhanced by the ease of navigation, simple architecture and gorgeous indoor/outdoor photography. Its simplicity invites the viewer to the resort.
